Crafthole District A have still to win but went 3-0 ahead at GWR B, but then, although no set ended in straight games, they lost the next seven sets.
A below-strength Woolwell D lost 8-2 at Woolwell A (Freddie Cutler and Richard Marshall seven sets). Also winning seven sets were John Griffiths and Simon James as Woolwell C beat Woolwell E 7-3.
Astor B are rooted at the bottom of Division Two after losing 7-3 at Inter City A for whom Martin Holman and Adrian Osborne scored maximums.
In an unusual scoreline Geoff Boobier and Peter Kratchovila scored 11 points in each game beating Osborne and Martin Williams 11-5, 11-13, 11-4, 11-13, 11-8.
Dan Kayes (3) and the doubles with Phil Nile helped Woodland Fort B to recover from 4-2 down to win 6-4 at Astor C.
Leaders GWR D went 4-1 up at Woolwell H (Kevin Buddell 3) and finally won 6-4.
Division Three leaders SWS are averaging nearly nine points per match and in a 9-1 win at Inter City B only reserve Alan Hoskinn scored for City.
Woolwell I (John Smith 3) lost for the first time as Inter City D took the last two sets in their first win, 6-4.
Although four sets went to five games there was a win by a surprisingly wide 9-1 for Crafthole District B over their C team.

Ben Cunningham and Krysten Coombs won all the sets for Woolwell J who defeated Astor E 7-3.
Both the top Division Five teams won 8-2, Molyneux Associates at Siblyback B and Crafthole District D against two player Woodland Fort F.
Woodland Fort E at full strength were good value for a 9-1 win at Siblyback B.
Crafthole District E and Woolwell N still have a 100 per cent record at the top of Division Six.
Crafthole E (James Taylor 3) beat their F team 7-3 and Woolwell N won by the same score at Woolwell L.
Sam Rose won three for Woolwell 0 in a 7-3 win at Woolwell Extras and did well beat to Stella Williams 11-7, 11-9, 8-11, 11-7.
Crafthole Methodist lost the four points they scored against Woolwell L because they submitted a late result card.
IN THE ladies' doubles Division A, Jean Smith and Liz Gill established a two set lead and deservedly went on to take the unbeaten record of Sue Gale and Pat Hexter 6-3, 6-2, 3-6.
In a hard fought match Jenny Penny and Lindsay Fear just held on in the third set to beat Helen Foote and Joan McGregor 4-6, 6-3, 6-5.
Foote and McGregor then, despite a second set wobble, won their first match 6-3, 1-6, 6-4 against Olga Rogers and Alice Anstee.
A consistent display from Michelle Cooke and Liz Roe clinched a win over Janet Butler and Linda Haston 6-2, 6-2, 6-2. Penny and Fear took Cooke and Roe to a third set tie-break but Cooke and Roe defended their 100 per cent record 6-2, 6-0, 6-5.
Esther Pettit and Anna Tickle were another pair recording a first win when in Division B. They defeated Rosemarie Green and Janice Hunt 6-1, 6-5, 4-6.
After two wins Linda Galpin and Libby Allman lost 5-6, 6-4, 6-2 to Ann Short and sub Liz Parkes and 6-2, 6-4, 6-3 to Joan Williams and Chanelle Belcher.
Mike and Helen Foote made full use of a number of net cords in their favour in a 6-2, 6-3, 6-2 mixed doubles win over Chris Shorter and Lisa Clifton.
Despite some amazing baseline retrieving from Ming Dai, partnered by Sue Peers-Jones it was not enough to prevent the more powerful play of Andrew Leigh and Annabel Norman prevailing by 6-2, 6-2, 6-1.
There was better fortune for Dai and Peers-Jones in a 6-2, 6-1, 6-1 win against Chris and Gill Cansfield.
The top men's Division A match saw the consistent net play from Phil Harbottle and Phil Ruse turn the match their way against Neil Hunt and Mike Paskins.
Hunt and Paskins could not build on an excellent first set and were beaten 3-6, 6-4, 6-2.
John Davies and Tim Randell came good to defeat Umberto Fontinari and Tony Maestri 1-6, 6-3, 6-4.
David Gale and Ricky Palmer played their best tennis in the second set but Matt Redshaw and Jeremy Kevern started and finished well to win 6-3, 5-6, 6-1.
In Division B Andrew Leigh and sub Mickey Rowe won only one of the first 16 points and it did not get much better as Andy Conroy and Kevin Thomas won 6-1, 6-1, 6-4. Excellent serving from Rob Thomas and steady play from Ron Cole gave the pair a win 6-1, 6-2, 6-5 over Nathan Whitfield and Rob Carowicz.
Bernard and Arnaud Lien in Division C fell to Pat Pearman and John Putman 6-0, 5-6, 6-0.
Steve Randall and Pete Horgan met on court for the first time in 30 years – and honours went to Randall and Mike Thrasher against Horgan and Chris Eastwood 6-2, 6-3, 6-4.
Phil Ticehurst and Geoff Parlby, after a 6-3 first set win, saw Chris Shorter and Ken McNess win the next 10 games and seal a 3-6, 6-0, 6-3 victory.
