MP's lunch date aboard Somerset

STEADY as she goes — Totnes MP Anthony Steen on board the Royal Navy stealth warship HMS Somerset during her recent visit to Dartmouth.

The MP is pictured with HMS Somerset CO, Commander Andrew Burns, left, and Dartmouth's Britannia Royal Naval College commander Commodore Jake Moores.

Mr Steen boarded the Type 23 frigate for lunch with the captain and other VIP guests.

Meanwhile the general public had to queue up on Sunday for a tour of the top navy warship as it was thrown open to townspeople and visitors.

HMS Somerset dropped anchor in the Dart for a three-day visit which ended on Sunday.
