Martin Turner's Wishbone Ash will bring back the memories.
The show opens with folk-rock legends The Strawbs. After the first interval of this two-interval night comes Martin Turner's Wishbone Ash followed by Dutch rockers Focus.
The Strawbs' acoustic set will consist of David Cousins, Dave Lambert and Chas Cronk, the frontline of the classic 1970s' line-up of Britain's most successful international folk-rock band.
In the early 1970s The Strawbs scored chart success in Britain with huge albums such as Grave New World and Bursting at the Seams. They toured with the likes of Santana, Peter Frampton, The Eagles, REO Speedwagon, Joe Walsh, Blue Oyster Cult, King Crimson and Frank Zappa.
Rick Wakeman played with The Strawbs for two years before moving on to achieve worldwide success with Yes, and as a solo artist. The much-loved Sandy Denny made an album with The Strawbs before she joined Fairport Convention.
Wishbone Ash was one of the classic rock bands of the late '60s and early '70s.
With millions of album sales and concert attendances worldwide, Wishbone Ash's heritage as one of the most enduring and best loved British rock acts is assured – with the band's innovative twin-guitar hallmark having influenced numerous successful rock acts over the years including Thin Lizzy and Iron Maiden.
With their unique blend of progressive rock, Focus manifested themselves at the start of the seventies as the most successful and most appreciated of all the Dutch rock exports. Hits came in the form of Hocus Pocus, House of the King, Sylvia and many more.
