“ We have lived in the village of Oreston for thirty years and I am glad to say that we have got our pub back. Before the renovations when you walked into the bar it was like walking into a cave. It was dark and dingy with little atmosphere. What a transformation, the pub is now a bright, vibrant pub with a great atmosphere. This can only be attributed to the welcome that you get from the landlord and landlady Steve and Marie and their long time friend James who also helps to run the pub. The staff are also very friendly and efficient whitch can only be attributed to the way that the pub is run. Now we come to the food. I have had most of the meals on the menu, and it is obvious that the Chef Aaron takes great pride in what he produces. The specials are a tribute to is culinary skills. All in all the Kings Arms is a friendly, village pub that gives you good food, a good selection of Real Ales along with a good selection of keg beers, lagers and ciders and a good selection of wines. There is something to suit everybody wether it is on a plate or in a glass, I cannot speak highly enough. Thank you Steve, Marie and James and all the staff. ”

“After years of missing a really good clean pub in Oreston we were really looking forward to seeing the refurbished Kings Arms when it reopened last June. We were delighted on opening night to see the fabulous new lay out, all open plan and lovely views across the Quay to the Plym. Marie, Steve and James were very welcoming and have continued to be so ever since. The food is excellent and a lovely varied menu.Take away is also available Try the fish and chips WOW !! There is a wide selection of well kept real ales and a good choice of other beers and wines. There is a delightful beer garden at the rear were dogs are welcome. Smokers are catered for with a seated shelter. There is live music again on some Saturday nights and various fun evenings such as Pig racing needs to be seen!! Best New Years Eve we've had in many years. James and the bar staff are courteous, efficient and fun. The Kings Arms under Marie, Steve and James is the best thing to have happened to Oreston for a long time, they have brought the heart back to the village Thank-you”

“I had heard that the Kings Arms had been re-furbished so I went along. The inside of the pub is completely unrecognisable. It is very spacious but still has a cosy atmosphere and has been nicely refurbished. A nice welcome from the staff, good service and a lovely reasonable meal.
Will definitely be going back.”
