Saturday, November 15, 2008, 07:00

STONEHOUSE Sharks Rugby Club are hoping to build up a pool of female players.

Sharks, the newest youth side in Plymouth, have just started to play girls' rugby. The club is running weekly taster sessions at Stonehouse Creek Playing Fields on Wednesdays at 6pm and on Sundays at 10am with three female coaches, Sue Grant, Louise Stokes and Amanda Williams.

Girls of any age are welcome. They play non-contact tag rugby up to the age of nine. Training is free.

Any girls wishing to try the sport should contact Louise Stokes on 0797 4426618 or email Sue Grant: sue@stonehousesharks.com

Meanwhile, Plymouth Albion Girls under-18s and under-15s have a fixture at Brickfields tomorrow.

The under-18s kick off at 2pm against a combined Albion/Cullompton/Taunton. The under-15s play Cullompton, then Taunton, again at 2pm. Entrance is free but there will be a bucket for Children In Need donations.
