A YOUNG entrepreneurial designer from Plymouth has embarked on a tour around a number of the UK's universities to promote his T-shirt business.

Lee Spence, who grew up in Eggbuckland and started his own business, Channel-3, at the age of just 20, is promoting a new design he has created.

He says his designs are influenced by extreme sports and the city he grew up in.

"My tour is called the Varsitee tour and is based around the Varsity jacket from the states. Varsity is a slang word for university and the tee bit? Well it's a tee-shirt business!" he said.

Lee, who has given up his job at the Royal Mail to go on tour, will visit Bristol, London, High Wycombe and Epsom.
