DAVID and Sharon Rowe were among the first to purchase at Phoenix Quay in 2009 and are delighted with their home.

"We were renting a house in Polbathic and because of a change in my job were looking to rent something nearer the City Centre and were very pleasantly surprised to visit the sales suite and discover that we could actually afford to buy," says Sharon.

The couple, who are both from Cornwall, bought a four-bedroom town house which has lovely views of the sea towards Mount Edgcumbe.

"We were delighted to discover that we could get much more property for our money than would have been available to us back in Falmouth," said Sharon.

"We really enjoy living here and it is wonderful to be able to look out at Plymouth Sound from our open-plan living area and also from our roof terrace."

Sharon's job as a regional youth work manager means that she covers a wide area across the South West so she needs to be near to main roads and the station and David also finds it easy to get access to the ferry for his work in Torpoint.

"It is very accessible and quick and easy from here," confirmed Sharon.

"We also love to walk to the City Centre, Barbican, Hoe and Royal William Yard.

"When we first moved in there was nothing but a building site behind us but it has been interesting to watch the community grow and everyone is very neighbourly.

"We certainly haven't got any plans to move in the foreseeable future."
