TORPOINT locals are being given the chance to have their say on what could be done with a 300-year-old park.

More than 400 households neighbouring Thanckes Park will receive a questionnaire asking for their views.

The outcome of the survey will help Cornwall Council form its "masterplan" for the park which will aim to make improvements so as to retain the public space's heritage and charm.

Councillor Mike Pearn, for Torpoint West, said: "I am delighted that interest is being taken in this beautiful park so that it can be protected for generations to come."
