Newport 3 Plymouth Albion 3

PLYMOUTH Albion have to settle for a draw against top Welsh club side Newport at a rain-soaked Rodney Parade on Friday night in the British & Irish Cup.

The terrible conditions in South Wales resulted in few try scoring chances.

The only points were scored in the first 16 minutes with fly-half Chris Wannell kicking a penalty for Newport and Kieran Hallett adding one of Albion.

Albion enjoyed greater territory but just could not get the breakthrough they were looking for.
