MARITIME Social Club came from behind to defeat Fawn B for the second time this season.

Fawn had gone into a 4-0 lead, helped by a 16-dart 601 doubles win for Jon Mann and Mark Yeoman but Maritime turned it around to take five of the singles and win by the narrowest of margins.

The one individual point that eluded them was won by Dave Roberts with a 3-1 success in 15, 16 and 18. Roberts also hit checkouts of 106 and 120.

City Social A took full advantage of Fawn's demise to increase their lead at the top of the table to six points, following a 9-2 win over Fawn A.

Octagon Social Club defeated Plympton Cons 9-2 with Alfie Ford notching a 14-dart leg in a 3-0 win while Porters C have moved up into joint second spot on the back of an 8-3 defeat of St Levan Inn.

Mark Palmer was on target with a brace of 180s in a 3-0 victory that was won in 14, 18 and 17 for a three dart average of 93.20.

Kieron Cremen hit an outshot of 117 but finished up on the wrong side of a 6-5 scoreline when Brookside were edged out 6-5 by Porters A while Craig Hillary top scored with 16 ton plus throws as Ker St Social Club overcame Indian Inn 7-4.

The Devonport side also had Flynn Jones equalling the week's high checkout with a mark of 120.

PLYMOUTH CITY SUPER LEAGUE

IN A rare occurrence, the top three teams all tasted defeat but The Windmill remain top the table despite being edged out 7-6 by St Levan Inn who had Steve Peglar winning the 13th and decisive point in 35 darts.

Tony Tasker was a winner in 34 but ended up on the wrong side of an 8-5 scoreline when Archer Inn went down 8-5 at Waterloo.

After 16 straight victories City Social lost their unbeaten record when they went down by the narrowest of margins against Plympton Cons A.

They began well enough and took the team game in 36 before going 3-1 up but Cons A rallied, aided by a 35-darter from Phil Stewart to snatch the victory.

Ryan Cox was on target with a checkout of 103 as Compton overcame Plympton RBL 8-5 but the highest finish of the week was achieved by Dave Algar with a mark of 129 which came in The Clifton's 8-5 defeat at Hyde Park Social Club.

MONDAY PREMIER LEAGUE

PORTERS B drop down into third spot after they were defeated 7-4 by Cherry Tree who were celebrating their first victory of the campaign.

Porters did have some consolation, though, when they had Wayne Tucker throwing the week's top finish with a mark of 160.

League leaders City Social lost for the first time when they went down 7-4 at home to St Johnston A, despite a kill of 156 from Rob May.

John Turpin (100x16) caught the eye for the winners when taking his singles in 18, 18 and 19.

PLYMOUTH & DISTRICT FRIDAY LEAGUE

TABLETOPPERS Agaton Social lost some ground when they narrowly lost 7-6 against third placed Ker St, for only their second defeat in 29 matches.

The Ernesettle side led 3-0 only for Ker St to rally and pull it back to 6-6 before Del Cole clinched the deciding point.

The week's best game of 33 darts, executed by Dan Johnson (100x12), gave Fawn the impetus to edge out Porters B 7-6 while Danny Allen threw the week's top checkout of 125, helping Embassy to a 12-1 win at The Windmill.

RILEYS SUPER LEAGUE

DARREN Pearce leads the way at the top of division one, after winning his first two matches 8-0.

Karen Atkinson also caught the eye when hitting an 11-dart leg, achieving throws of 180, 43, 180 before checking out in two from 98.

Shaun Dring is the early pacesetter in Division Two and the only player with two victories from as many starts.

Chris Bamber came from 5-1 down to win against Christine Kinnaird helped by checkouts of 106 and 102 while other high finishes have come from Danny Hoyle 144, Brian Bibik 125 and Paul Flower 124.
