Clare Robinson's Plymouth music round-up
IF YOU'RE feeling those post festive January blues the first Kabaret Kaos event of the year, billed by the Guardian as 'amazing' and The Times as 'probably the most fun night ever', could be just what the doctor ordered.
Bringing the noble art of lip-syncing and the chaos of 21st century camp cabaret together in a drag act of disturbing brilliance, The Lipsinkers return to the B Bar for an extended run over two consecutive nights.

LADY GAGA: Lipsinkers are back at the B Bar
"The first night [Saturday 19] sold out with two weeks to go and people were still clamouring for tickets," says organiser Dan Thompson, "so we put it to the 'girls' and they were up for doing the Friday night, too."
Plymouth audiences are at last warming to the idea of cabaret shows after much perseverance on behalf of Dan and co.

"I think now people realise that when we put something on, it's good – even the weird stuff!
"The Lipsinkers are spectacular pandemonium on stage, with over 20 costume changes – think Pan's People having a boozy party with Madonna in Primark!
"The last time they came, people in the audience were crying with laughter and several told me they'd never had such a good night out in Plymouth!"
Tickets to see one of London's finest cabaret acts shimmy their way through a freaky pop repertoire in hilarious, twisted style are still available for next Friday, January 18.
