Must win game for Plymouth Argyle against Fleetwood Town, admits manager John Sheridan
JOHN SHERIDAN has called Plymouth Argyle's game against Fleetwood Town at Home Park tomorrow (3pm) a 'must win' for the relegation-threatened Pilgrims.
Not only that, Sheridan (right) reckons it is the most important match of his managerial career, which started with Oldham Athletic in 2006 before taking him to Chesterfield three years later.

Must win game for Plymouth Argyle against Fleetwood Town, admits manager John Sheridan
Sheridan has led Argyle to a record of three wins, four draws and three defeats since he was appointed as their boss at the start of January.
The Pilgrims are 23rd in the League Two table, above only Accrington Stanley on goal difference.

After tomorrow, Argyle will have three more matches at Home Park before the end of the season, with another five on the road.
Fleetwood had their first win in six when they triumphed 3-0 at Accrington in a Lancashire derby on Tuesday night.
Sheridan said: "I think this is the biggest game I have had since I have been a manager. I know we have to win it.
"Life is going to be very difficult if we don't. At home, we have to win our games, especially now.
"Performance-wise, we are improving but we have got to start winning. I hope we play rubbish and win the game. It's just about getting points now.
"It's a massive game. It's a must-win for me this one.
"We need to start winning games and try to get a little bit of leeway above the bottom two.
"I don't know what it's going to take, points-wise, to keep us in the division.
"Torquay and York have come right into it now, who probably felt nowhere near relegation two months ago.
"We have got some tough away games but when you are at home I think you have got to win."
Fleetwood were promoted as Football Conference champions last season and are in play-off contention this term.
Their squad includes 31-year-old powerhouse striker Jon Parkin, who has been nicknamed 'The Beast' throughout his career.
Sheridan said: "They are a good footballing side. Big Jon Parkin is experienced and he is the type of striker you need.
"He just knows what the game is all about and will be difficult to play against.
"They came up last season and have hit the ground running. They are a strong team and are used to winning games.
"They will feel they have still got a chance of automatic promotion, so it will be a very difficult game for us."
Sheridan was encouraged by Argyle's performance in the 0-0 draw with beaten Capital One Cup finalists Bradford City at Home Park on Tuesday.
He said: "I think we are improving. The players understand more what we want from them, but in our position we have got to win games.
"I don't think there is a lot of difference between the sides in the division. It's very evenly balanced.
"But your Gillinghams and Northamptons play poorly and win games. I don't think we are a team who can play poorly and win.
"We have to be on song and on top of our game to try to get a result."

“@trots, for someone who doesn't give a toss, you have certainly responded like you give a toss.”

It's just as well that I don't give a toss what you think, looking at your previous boring posts you clearly are a lonely individual who spends his whole life criticising others and resorts to abusive rude comments whilst hiding behind a computer screen.
I shall be in the Golden Hind tomorrow from 1.30 so please feel free to call me a deluded deadbeat to my face, you'll find me if really what to, stand up and shout out for Trots, looking forward to meeting you
Better bring your mum”

“@trots and helterfc, you come across as a couple of deluded deadbeats to me,if you are suggesting that you travel 600 miles to watch the demise of a once great football club and get excited at the prospect then you are clearly a pair of fully baked individuals with more money than sense.”

“Trots - I, too, will be making a 600 mile round trip to support my team tomorrow. There will still be the build-up of excitement as I set off, a smile on my face as I pass the first motorway sign showing mileage to Plymouth and optimism to the very end. I know we are in a terrible position but I have to hope. COME ON YOU GREENS!!”

“All these things are cyclical. Tuesdays opponents Bradford were in the Premiership not so many years ago and I think Argyle will have their time again but not this season I fear! I've supported the Greens since 1965 and this is the direst situation I can remember in all that time. To avoid the drop we have to win 5 games in my opinion, I really hope they can do it but I am very concerned it is already too late. The teams around Argyle still manage to pick up points which is making it likely that teams well in to the forties on points are going to go down! Desperate days!”

“ChrisHay, clearly not a Plymouth fan unless of course your one of those that just supports a club when the things are going good, who is it this week, Chelsea??
To be honest the club doesn't really need fans like you, if I choose to travel 600 or 6000 miles to watch my team play then that's my choice, if they lose then so be it, at least I was there to see them lose and know that when they needed support I at least went and provided it.
So Fleetwood are the bookies favourites, and?? So there the favourites so no point in Plymouth turning up then. You must be a very rich man if you gamble as on your prediction only favourites win!
I have only recently signed up on this website but the number of people like you, can't get myself to call you fans, on here is unbelievable . If you and your troll mates are so against PAFC don't bother coming on here,
Once a Green always a Green!,”

“@thetrots You must be mad going 600 miles away. Plymouth will lose and lose badly. Fleetwood are the bookies favourite. Plymouth are going down 110% and they have no chance of winning tomorrow. Your be having a wasted journey.”
